This overjoys some of the audience in the courthouse, including frequent antagonists from the original series Coach Buzzcut and Principal McVicker. This quickly gets them arrested and set before a judge, who seemingly is set to give them an incredibly harsh punishment. In doing so - turning a robotic leg set to kick a football into an easy way to send Beavis flying through the air from a particularly brutal shot to the groin - the duo cause massive damage to the building and destroy almost all of the other experiments. You know, I thought she killed herself, man.In the film, Beavis and Butt-Head quickly disrupt a science fair that promises to take the winners to NASA Space Camp. One last thing: one of my favorite Daria-related gags is from the reboot season of Beavis and Butt-Head (S8E6: “Drones”), when they discuss what became of Daria.īeavis: I know Daria killed herself, I remember that.īutt-head: Uhh she didn’t kill herself, she just moved away.īeavis: Whoa, really? That’s kinda surprising. I’m optimistic about the spinoff I’m not expecting it to have the same feel as Daria but I hope it does the characters justice. Yeah there were a few episodes focused on her but I wanted more. I wish more time was spent developing Jane. I didn’t mind Tom he seemed like the typical privileged boy next door. Not to say Daria’s sardonic wit ever disappeared, but it matured with her character. In the original pilot, Daria still had that edge, and I’d say it even continued in S1 with Daria and Quinn proactively antagonizing each other, before the edge mellowed out a bit in S2 and beyond. On B+B, Daria’s humor was acidic af and I feel like she kinda had to have this assertive personality to adapt to their universe (“ diarrhea, cha cha cha!”). First, I love how Daria transformed from one show to another.
Early this year, I watched the entirety of Beavis and Butt-Head and then I watched Daria over the fall. I’ve been binging on Mike Judge’s work as of late.
